Diary, Apr. 11, 1858-Oct. 25, 1859, kept as scientific assistant on Captain J.H. Simpson's expedition to Utah and across the Great Basin from Camp Floyd to Genoa, and return to Washington, D.C., with sojourns at Fort Bridger, Camp Floyd and Genoa.
